First, let me say that if I'm going to continually be using that quote, I really should watch "Kate & Leopold" again to be sure I've got it right.
Second, I've had a few pretty good dates lately, one very bad date (although I got free Italian and a dozen roses), and some much-needed experience in the real world of dating. And I've found more than that: Jason. I'm totally amazed that anyone like him can exist. He is cute, sweet, kind, has desires to be a pastor (I'm looking forward to helping him achieve that desire - he knows there's a call on his life and just doesn't know exactly where to go from here), and is just about totally gone over me. He asked me last night if he could give me his heart. I told him I'd only known him a week and that we'd have to see.
He's 32 (until the middle of May), divorced, has three kids (son 13, twin girls 10) that I haven't met yet. It's only been a week, after all. He has a crazy work schedule compared to most people - 12 hour shifts, 3-on/3-off - and every other 3-off, he gets his kids. He lives in Carthage - about 70 miles from here. Both of those are reasons that I don't think we'll be able to get too sick of each other too soon - it's very random when we'll be able to see one another. We've had three dates - all of them good. We've connected on a spiritual level like no one I've met in a long time. And he's so cute!! I'm honestly looking forward to - can't wait to - get to know him better. We're supposed to go bowling with his family - mom, brother & step-dad - next week. We'll see how that goes!
Here's at least one picture (from the Album) from our hiking trip last weekend...

Good morning Janice. I check your blog every day, but as you can tell from my blog sites, I've little time to write anything. You're in my prayers. Love, mornin'
