Also, just to keep you up-to-date on the TTSC audition... It went VERY well. Better than I expected. TuneTown sang two songs, "Girls Night Out" and "Gospel Medley", then learned the words "we've got talent" in four-part harmony to the tune of the "Hallelujah Chorus". It was amazing! After singing it on the risers, the entire chorus gathered around in a big circle and faced a camera (the camera man was on the very top of a very tall ladder) so that all you could see (pretty much) was the faces of the chorus. They sang the "we've got talent" ditty several times, then screamed loudly, "America, we've got talent" - and screamed... And since we're a choir - the poor director lady (with a camera in one hand at the time) had to cut-off the scream! It was quite humorous! Hey, we don't stop until we're told.
We should know something by the end of March... Of course, we have more to worry about than just that... Regional competition is that last weekend of March and if we want to compete at International in 2009, we have to win the 2008 regional. As a reminder - TuneTown did come in 13th in the world at the 2007 International competition - their first ever to compete in, and it was in Calgary, in Canada! So, where is the 2009 competition, you might ask??? NASHVILLE!!! I don't even get to go anywhere...
